Tak lama setelah itu, dokter datang. Dilakukan pemeriksaan. Sebelum pulang, dokter menjelaskan bahwa sakit si anak biasa saja, bukan sakit kritis. Dokter pun pamit, bergegas menuju rumahnya.

Dialog dalam kisah ini bukanlah kalimat langsung, tapi pernah benar-benar terjadi di muka bumi ini. pelakunya adalah Imam Hasan al-Banna sang pendiri organisasi pergerakan Islam terkemuka di Mesir dan dunia Islam. Beliau merupakan dai yang sejuk, lembut, dan bersikap pertengahan sebagaimana anjuran ahlus sunnah wal jamaah.

Sekilas, ijtihad Imam Hasan al-Banna ini kurang tepat. Bukankah beliau bisa saja ‘libur’ dari dakwah karena anaknya sakit? Akan tetapi, beliau telah menempuh jalan yang benar dengan mengobati anaknya terlebih dahulu, lalu melanjutkan niatnya untuk berdakwah. Logika terbaliknya, bukankah dengan berdakwah maka Allah Ta’ala akan segera memberikan pertolongan kepada dirinya dan kesembuhan untuk anaknya?

Laki-laki seperti ini, dan laki-laki lainnya yang jumlahnya semakin sedikit di muka bumi ini merupakan pilihan. Mereka adalah segelintir kaum yang memprioritaskan taat kepada Allah Ta’ala, hingga Dia pun mengistimewakannya.

Mereka seperti yang dikatakan oleh Imam al-Harits al-Muhassibi, “Ketahuilah, barang siapa mengutamakan Allah, niscaya Dia mengutamakannya.”

“Barangsiapa lebih mendahulukan ketaatan kepada Allah Ta’ala daripada porsi jiwanya sendiri,” tutur Syekh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah menafsirkan kalimat hikmah Imam al-Muhassibi, “niscaya Allah Ta’ala mengistimewakan dan meridhainya.”
