Militer Israel dilaporkan mengevakuasi 120 pasukannya yang terlibat dalam penyerangan jamaah di Mesjid Al-Aqsa karena diserang penyakit aneh.
Menurut laporan PIC, 120 tentara Israel yang dievakuasi ke rumah sakit terserang penyakit kulit. Para tentara yang terserang penyakit ini mengalami infeksi kulit, pembengkakan, gatal-gatal dan sakit di bagian-bagian berbeda dari tubuh. Bahkan kulit mereka mulai kelihatan gosong.
Militer telah melakukan investigasi dalam peristiwa ini dan memutuskan mengisolasi pangkalan militer tersebut khawatir penyakit ini menyebar, juga untuk mencegah serdadu keluar dari pangkalan.
Media Israel menambahkan, para spesialis dan pakar didatangkan untuk membahas dan menyelidiki peristiwa ini sebagai upaya untuk mengisolasi penyakit dan menghentikan penyebarannya.
Mereka mengirim sampel darah para tentara yang terjangkit ke laboratorium medis untuk menentukan identitas penyakit dan sumbernya.
Pasukan yang terjangkit penyakit aneh tersebut juga dilaporkan mengalami depresi berat. Bahkan sering mengigau dan menjerit kepanasan saat tidur sambil memukul kepala mereka. Paramedis yang menangani mereka menolak memberikan tanggapan.
Kabar terbaru, ratusan warga muslim Palestina menggelar ibadah salat Jumat di luar kompleks Masjid Al-Aqsa.
Polisi hanya mengizinkan pria berusia di atas 50 tahun memasuki kompleks masjid. Ketatnya pengamanan di tempat suci Yerusalem oleh pihak keamanan Israel menyusul insiden penyerangan polisi Israel pekan lalu.
