5-15 hari setelah lahir, sisa tali pusar akan mengering dan lepas dengan sendirinya.

5.Pembersihan
Setelah semua tes selesai, dokter akan membersihkan tubuh bayi secara sederhana, dengan cara menyeka tubuh bayi secara perlahan.
6.Mengukur tinggi, berat badan
Yang terakhir dokter akan menimbang berat dan tinggi bayi. Bayi yang baru lahir beratnya sekitar 2,9 Kg hingga 3,6 Kg. Bayi yang kurang gizi beratnya akan kurang dari 2,9 kg, sedangkan ada juga bayi yang kelebihan gizi yang berat lebih dari 4 Kg. Ini semua masih tergantung pada bentuk badan dan tulang. Tinggi bayi sekitar 50cm.
