Menteri Agama Lukman Hakim Saifuddin ingin mengetahui duduk persoalan di UIN Bukittinggi hingga muncul informasi ada seorang dosen perempuan diskors karena bercadar. Kemenag mengirimkan tim khusus.

"Saya harus mendalami dulu masalahnya, saya belum tahu persis apa sesungguhnya yang terjadi tadi, dari Ditjen Pendis sudah ngirim sebuah tim untuk mencari tahu, mengkonfirmasi, mengklarifikasi, mempelajari apa sebenarnya yang terjadi sebelum ngambil keputusan," ujar Lukman di Ancol, Jakarta, Rabu (14/3/2018).

Berkaitan dengan hal ini, Persaudaraan Alumni 212 mengecam keras skors tersebut.

"PA 212 (Persaudaraan Alumni 212 ) sangat mengecam dan menyayangkan peraturan pelarangan menggunakan cadar di kampus UIN Bukit Tinggi itu," ujar Ketua Persaudaraan Alumni (PA) 212 Slamet Maarif.

Pihak IAIN Bukitinggi yang disebut dalam pernyataan Slamet belum bisa dimintai konfirmasi mengenai skors terhadap dosen ini. Telepon dan pesan singkat yang dikirimkan ke Rektor Ridha Ahida belum direspons. 

Slamet mengatakan, sebagai bangsa yang berdaulat, warga Indonesia diberi kedaulatan untuk menggunakan hak-hak individu selama nyata-nyata tidak menimbulkan mudarat. Seharusnya hak-hak individu itu, kata Slamet, tidak dibatasi sepanjang tidak menimbulkan kerusakan yang dapat dibuktikan secara empiris. 

"Kalau hanya dikira-kira saja, atau dilihat dari satu sudut saja, tentu akan selalu terjadi keriuhan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara," kata Slamet.
