TANYA: Apakah pada saat berdoa setelah selesai sholat fardhu, Rosulullah saw mengangkat tangannya apa tidak? Mohon penjelasannya, wassalam.

JAWAB: Sejauh ini kami belum menemukan keterangan atau hadits, yang menyebutkan secara eksplisit dan jelas, bahwa Rasulullah Saw mengangkat tangan ketika berdoa usai shalat fardhu.

Jika mengacu pada hadits shahih Bukhari dan Muslim dari Anas bin Malik, jelas Rasulullah Saw tidak mengangkat tangan ketika berdoa usai shalat fardhu.

Dari Anas r.a. berkata, bahwa Rasulullah Saw tidak berdoa dengan mengangkat tangan, kecuali dalam shalat Istisqa (shalat minta hujan).  

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا يرفع يديه في شيء من دعائه إلا في الاستسقاء ، وإنه يرفع حتى يرى بياض إبطيه

“Biasanya Nabi Shallallahu’alaihi Wasallam tidak mengangkat kedua tangannya ketika berdoa, kecuali ketika istisqa. Beliau mengangkat kedua tangannya hingga terlihat ketiaknya yang putih” (HR. Bukhari no.1031, Muslim no.895).

Soal hukum mengangkat tangan ketika berdoa, terjadi perselisihan pendapat di kalangan ulama: antara boleh, sunah, dan haram (bid’ah) kecuali saat berdoa usai shalat istisqo’.

Sebagian ulama membolehkan/menyunahkan, karena ada juga hadits yang menyebutkan Rasul mengangkat tangan atau menganjurkannya saat berdoa, hanya saja tidak disebutkan hal itu dilakukan Rasul ketika berdoa usai shalat fardhu.

Dari Abi Musa Al-Asy’ari ra berkata, “Nabi Saw berdoa, lalu mengangkat kedua tangannya, hingga aku melihat putih kedua ketiaknya.” (HR Bukhari).

Ibnu Taimiyah berkata : “Adapun tentang Nabi Saw mengangkat kedua tangannya  waktu berdo’a, maka sesungguhnya telah datang padanya hadits-hadits yang shahih (lagi) banyak (jumlahnya). Sedangkan tentang beliau mengusap mukanya dengan kedua (telapak) tangannya (sesudah berdo’a), maka tidak ada padanya (hadits yang shahih lagi banyak), kecuali satu-dua hadits yang tidak dapat dijadikan hujjah (alasan tentang bolehnya mengusap muka dengan kedua telapak tangan).

Dalam berdoa, yang penting ikhlas, sungguh-sungguh, mengerti arti doa (jika berdoa dalam bahasa Arab), dan penuh rasa rendah diri di hadapan Allah Swt.

Kesimpulan:
Hukum Mengangkat Tangan Saat Berdoa Usai Shalat Fardhu adalah mubah (boleh), karena tidak ada larangan berdoa sambil mengangkat tangan usai shalat. Wallahu a’lam bish-shawabi.*
