Demikian tandas Pangkostrad Letjen TNI Ery Rahmayadi dalam sambutannya pada Apel Tahunan Pesantren Ar Raudlatul Hasanah, Simpang Selayang, Medan, Senin (01/08/2016).

Apel tahunan yang menandai dimulainya th. ajaran 2016-2017 itu diikuti semua pengurus yayasan, pimpinan harian, guru dan staf serta hampir 5. 000 santri.

Acara ini dimeriahkan dengan penampilan seni sebagian santri seperti demonstrasi pencak silat.

Ketua Badan Wakaf Pesantren, Mohd Ilyas Tarigan, menerangkan, Pesantren Ar Raudlatul Hasanah didirikan pada 18 Oktober 1982. Harapannya, agar jadi taman yang indah untuk sebagian pewakaf dan santrinya serta semua yang berjihad di dalamnya.

Pembangunan Ar Raudlatul Hasanah dengan diawali wakaf tanah dari Haji Ahkam Tarigan seluas 256, 5 m2 pada 1978 untuk dibangun mushalla. Surau kecil yang dimakmurkan warga setempat tersebut sebagai cikal bakal pesantren.
