Tabloid Anshari Expres yang terbit tiap-tiap Ahad di Hindia mengatakan bahwa ada sekelompok orang-orang Hindustan yang sangat fanatik, yang telah sekian lama ingin menyerang Islam, mereka merobohkan sebuah Masjid Barbari pada tanggal 6 December 1992. Tabloid itu mengabarkan bahwa kurang lebih 40 orang Hindustan yang bersekongkol merobohkan masjid itu langsung buta, yang beberapa dokter telah angkat tangan, tak sanggup mengobati kebutaan mereka itu. Orang-orang yang mendapat musibah buta mata ataupun yang lainnya, yang ikut dan dalam usaha merobohkan Masjid Barbari itu saat ini hidup dalam kesengsaraan. Mereka mendapat bantuan dari perserikatan kelompok Hindustan.

Ada salah seorang ikhwan yang saya temukan ketika saya melakukan penyelidikan dalam peristiwa mengenaskan itu, dia berkata, “Seluruh warga yang ikut dan dalam perbuatan yang sangat gegabah itu (merobohkan masjid) ditimpa kebutaan atau lumpuh tubuh. ”

Musibah dalam peristiwa ini maupun musibah-musibah lainnya yang Allah timpakan pada para pelaku dosa yaitu bukti nyata bahwa Allah Ta’ala selalu menolong agama mulia ini, Islam, dan Dia membela orang-orang yang beriman.

Meskipun musuh-musuh Islam selalu berusaha menghancurkan Islam dan kaum muslimin dengan berbagai cara, tetapi Allah telah berjanji senantisa memuliakan dan meninggikan agama-Nya dan menolong dan membela orang yang beriman.

Sekalipun musuh-musuh Islam berusaha menghancurkan agama Islam dan kaum Muslimin dengan semua cara, tetapi Allah sudah berjanji akan senantiasa memuliakan dan meninggikan agama-Nya dan menolong serta membelanya walaupun orang-orang kafir membencinya. Allah Ta’ala berfirman,

“Yang demikian itu yaitu karena sesungguhnya mereka nenentang Allah serta rasul-Nya. Barangsiapa menentang Allah, jadi sesungguhnya Allah sangat keras hukuman-Nya. (Al-Hasyr : 4)

Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam bersabda, “Seungguhnya Allah betul-betul menangguhkan siksaan atas orang-orang dzalim jadi bila Dia telah menyiksanya, jadi tak ada yang terlewat sedikit pun. ” Lalu, beliau membaca Surat Hud : 102, ‘Dan begitulah adzab Tuhanmu, apa apabila Ia mengadzab penduduk negeri-negeri yang berbuat zalim. Sesungguhnya adzab-Nya itu yaitu sangat pedih lagi keras. ” (Diriwayatkan Bukhari dan Muslim)
