TANYA: Assalamu'alaikum! Bacaan ketika ruku' dalam shalat yang benar apa ya?

Ada imam yang ruku' dan sujudnya lama banget, makmum jadi gak khusyu' karena merasa heran bacaannya apa.

JAWAB: Wa’alaikum salam wr. Wb.  Memnaca doa atau bacaan tertentu selama ruku' selama shalat hukumnya sunat. Boleh baca, boleh juga diam saja, asalkan diamnya (thuma'ninah) minimal selama durasi bacaan tasbih "Subhanallah" dengan pelan (tidak cepat).

Menurut Fiqh Sunnah karya Sayid Sabiq dan Pedoman Sholat karya Hasbi Ash-Shiddiqiy, dalam ruku’, Rasulullah SAW membaca bacaan yang beragam, antara lain:

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّىَ الْعَظِيْمِ


”Subhana rabbiyal’adhim” (3x, terkadang lebih). Artinya: Mahasuci Tuhanku Yang Mahaagung (HR. Ahmad, Abu Daud, Ibnu Majah).

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّىَ الْعَظِيْمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

”Subhana rabbiyal’adhimi wabihamdih” (3x), “Mahasuci dan Mahaagung Allah, segala puji bagiNya”. (HR Abu Daud, Daruquthni, Ahmad, dan Thabrani).

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي

”Subhanaka Allahumma wabihamdika allahummagh firli”. “Mahasuci Engkau wahai Tuhan dan dengan memuji-Mu ampunilah aku.

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

“Subbuuhun qudduusur Robbul malaaikati warruuh”. “Maha Suci dan Pemberi Berkat, Tuhan Malaikat dan Ruh” (HR. Muslim dan Abu ‘Uwanah).


Soal ruku' imam sholat yang lama banget, kemungkinan ia membaca salah satu bacaan ruku' di atas secara pelan sekali. Namun, imam yang baik akan meringankan shalatnya (memendekkan bacaan) karena makmum itu beragam.  


إِذَا صَلَّـى أَحَدُكُمْ لِلنَّـاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ، فَإِنَّ فِيْهِمُ الضَّعِيْفَ وَالسَّقِيْمَ وَالْكَبِيْرَ، فَإِذَا صَلَّى لِنَفْسِهِ فَلْيُطَوِّلْ مَا شَاءَ.

"Jika salah seorang di antara kalian mengimami orang-orang, maka hendaklah ia meringankannya. Karena di antara mereka ada yang lemah, sakit, dan orang tua.
