PEPATAH Arab mengatakan, manusia itu tempatnya salah dan lupa. Al-Insanu mahalul khotho wan nisyan. Karenanya, tidak ada manusia yang luput dari dosa. Allah SWT dengan Risalah Islam-Nya sangat memahami hal itu sehingga menunjukkan jalan tentang amalan penghapus dosa.

Setidaknya ada lima amalan penghapus dosa alias mengundang ampunan dari Allah SWT atas dosa yang kita lakukan.

1. Amalan Penghapus Dosa: Taubat Nasuha. 
Tobat yang sungguh-sungguh dan tidak mengulangi. “Dan Dialah yang menerima taubat dari hamba-hamba-Nya dan memaafkan kesalahan-kesalahan…” (QS. asy-Syura: 25).

2. Amalan Penghapus Dosa: Istighfar. 
Memohon ampunan kepada Allah SWT. “Dan barangsiapa yang mengerjakan kejahatan dan menganiaya dirinya, kemudian mohon ampun kepada Allah, niscaya ia mendapati Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.” (QS. an-Nisa`: 110).

3. Amalan Penghapus Dosa: Amal Kebaikan.
