Semua terdiam dan agak kesulitan menjawab hipotesis profesor itu. Tiba-tiba suara seorang mahasiswa memecah kesunyian.
Mahasiswa: “Prof! Saya ingin bertanya. Apakah dingin itu ada?”
Profesor: “Pertanyaan macam apa itu? Tentu saja dingin itu ada.”
Mahasiswa: “Prof! Dingin itu tidak ada. Menurut hukum fisika, yang kita anggap dingin sebenarnya adalah ketiadaan panas. Suhu -460 derajat Fahrenheit adalah ketiadaan panas sama sekali.
Semua partikel menjadi diam. Tidak bisa bereaksi pada suhu tersebut. Kita menciptakan kata ‘dingin’ untuk mengungkapkan ketiadaan panas. Selanjutnya! Apakah gelap itu ada?”
