Calon Wakil Gubernur Jawa Timur Puti Guntur Soekarno menegaskan bahwa PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) selalu bekerja keras dan tidak gampang menyerah. Partainya telah terbiasa digembleng oleh kesulitan dan gelombang politik.

Ia menyampaikan pesan tersebut kepada jajaran kader dan pengurus PDIP se-Kabupaten Probolinggo dalam rapat kerja di Pondok Hati, Toroyan, Kraksan, Kabupaten Probolinggo.

"Kita pantang menyerah, sampai Hari H coblosan 27 Juni 2018. Kita semua ingin menang, baik untuk Pilkada Jawa Timur maupun Kabupaten Probolinggo," kata Puti Guntur menyemangati kader PDIP, Rabu (14/3/2018).

"Jangan lengah. Jangan merasa menang. Harus kerja keras dan waspada. Semua ikhtiar itu juga harus disertai doa. Semoga Allah SWT meridhoi seluruh perjuangan kita," lanjut Puti.

Di Kabupaten Probolinggo, pasangan incumbent Calon Bupati Tantriana Sari dan Calon Wakil Bupati Timbul Prihanjoko, yang juga diusung PDIP bersama sejumlah parpol, harus juga berjuang untuk mendapatkan kembali kepercayaan rakyat. 

"Kita satukan kekuatan kita, niat kita, doa kita untuk meraih kemenangan Pilkada Jawa Timur dan Kabupaten Probolinggo," kata Puti Guntur.

Seharian berkegiatan di Kabupaten Probolinggo, Puti Guntur didampingi Ny. Fatma, istri Calon Gubernur Saifullah Yusuf dan Ketua DPC PDIP Kabupaten Probolinggo Timbul Prihanjoko. 

Puti melakukan kunjungan ke Pondok Pesantren Zainul Hasan Genggong, Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qodim Kalikajar Kulon Paiton, dan Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Karanganyar Paiton. 

Selain Rapat Kerja PDIP di Kabupaten Probolinggo, Cawagub Puti Guntur masih menemui relawan dan mengikuti Rapat Kerja PDIP Kota Probolinggo.

Seperti pesan Ketua Umum PDI Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri, Puti Guntur mengampanyekan isu merajut kebangsaan, merajut Merah Putih, antara kaum nahdliyin dan nasionalis.
