Belum lama ini, Pemerintah Turki mengumumkan tentang penemuan Kitab Injil Asli, BARNABAS, salah seorang diantara murid2 pertama Yesus (Isa al-Masih).

Naskah injil yang ditemukan di Turki bertuliskan bahasa Syriac dialek Aram.


Hal ini tentu saja mengejutkan banyak pihak, terutama fihak Vatikan sendiri. Sebagaimana diberitakan oleh _Daily Mail_, _Basijpress_ dan _National Turk_, bahwa Injil Barnabas asli tersebut ditemukan pada tahun 2000 lalu di Turki, namun ditutupi-tutupi oleh Pemerintah Turki selama lebih dari 12 tahun dan baru sekarang dibeberkan ke publik. Lembaran-lembaran kulit hewan itu ditulis dengan huruf Syriac dengan dialek bahasa Aramia, bahasa yang sama dan lazim digunakan pada masa Yesus, Isa al-Masih.
 
Pemerintah Turki menyakini bahwa kitab
kulit hewan tersebut adalah *Injil Barnabas Asli*. Hal yang menarik dari Kitab Injil Barnabas Asli asal Turki tersebut menyatakan bahwa *YESUS TIDAK PERNAH DISALIB*, dan terdapat ayat-ayat yang menyatakan bahwa Islam adalah agama yang benar serta pengakuan tentang kehadiran Nabi akhir zaman, yaitu Muhammmad SAW.

Pengakuan itu terdapat pada bab 41 Injil Barnabas yang ditemukan di Turki tersebut. Berikut ini terjemahannya: _”Allah telah menyembunyikan diri-Nya sebagai Malaikat Agung Michael berlari mereka (Adam dan Hawa) dari surga, (dan) ketika Adam berbalik, ia melihat bahwa di atas pintu gerbang ke surga tertulis “La Ela ELA Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah”_. Kitab yang masih menjadi perdebatan tersebut disebutkan kini disimpan di _Justice Palace_, Ankara, Turki, dengan pengawalan ketat polisi bersenjata lengkap dan keamanan maksimum.
 
Pihak Iran, lewat _Basij Press_, menyatakan bahwa apa yang tertulis di kitab Barnabas asli tersebut adalah bukti tentang kebenaran Islam, yang walau begitu ditanggapi dengan sinis oleh pelbagai pihak.
Bahkan pihak Kristen, lewat berbagai jamaatnya, menyatakan bahwa Kitab Injil Barnabas tersebut diragukan keasliannya.
 
Namun begitu pihak Vatikan lebih arif dengan menyatakan telah mengajukan permohonan resmi ke Pemerintah Turki untuk membaca dan menganalisa keaslian kitab kontroversial itu.
 
Para agamawan menyatakan bahwa jika Alkitab Barnabas tersebut terbukti asli, maka akan mengakibatkan rusaknya kredibilitas Gereja, dan akan menimbulkan revolusi agama Nasrani besar-besaran di seluruh dunia.
Tentu saja penemuan ini cukup menarik, sama menariknya dengan penemuan dan fakta sejarah bahwa Benua Amerika pertama kali di temukan oleh para pelaut tangguh Muslim.
