SETIAP kali kita memasuki Tahun Baru Islam 1 Muharam (Hijriyah), sebagai kaum Muslim kita dituntut menyikapi momentum tersebut dengan muhasabah (introspeksi diri).

Misalnya: Apakah ibadah atau amal saleh kita selama ini sudah memenuhi syarat untuk diterima oleh Allah SWT? Yaitu, dilandasi keimanan, ilmu, ikhlas, dan sesuai dengan sunah Rasul? Bekal amal saleh apa yang sudah kita miliki untuk kehidupan di akhirat kelak?

Benar, muhasabah harus kita lakukan sepanjang waktu, hari demi hari, bahkan detik demi detik. Tapi setidaknya, pergantian tahun baru Islam menjadi "momentum tahunan" muhasabah.

“Hai orang-orang yang beriman bertakwalah kamu sekalian kepada Allah, dan hendaklah setiap diri, mengevaluasi kembali apa yang telah dilakukan untuk hari esok (akhirat)..." (QS. Al-Hasyr: 18).

Menurut tafsir Syekh Syihabuddin Mahmud bin Abdullah al-Husaini al-Alusi dalam kitabnya Ruhul Ma'ani:

"Setiap perbuatan manusia yang telah dilakukan pada masa lalu, mencerminkan perbuatan dia untuk persiapan diakhirat kelak. Karena hidup di dunia bagaikan satu hari dan keesokan harinya merupakan hari akherat, merugilah manusia yang tidak mengetahui tujuan utamanya".

Umar bin Khottob mengatakan: Hasibu anfusakum qobla antuhasabu. "Evaluasilah (hisablah) dirimu sendiri sebelum kalian dihisab (di hadapan Allah kelak)".

Saat memasuki Tahun Baru Islam 1 Muharram atau Tahun Baru Hijriyah, kita juga harus memaknai peristiwa hijrah Rasulullah Saw dan para sahabat dari Makkah ke Madinah yang menjadi awal perhitungan kalender Islam (makanya disebut Kalender Hijriyah, dari kata hijrah).

Di Madinah, Rasul membangun tiga fondasi masyarakat Islami menuju daulah Islamiyah:

  1. Masjid, 
  2. Ukhuwah Islamiyah, 
  3. Perjanjian damai dengan semua warga Madinah (Piagam Madinah). 


Maka, mari makmurkan masjid, semarakkan aktivitas ibadah dan dakwah di dalamnya, eratkan ukhuwah sesama Muslim, dan kembangkan toleransi beragama tanpa merusak akidah.

Sabda Nabi Saw, Muhajir (orang yang berhijrah) dalam makna luas, adalah dia yang meninggalkan larangan Allah SWT. Al-Muhajiru man hajara ma nahallahu 'anhu.

Mari kita menyikapi Tahun Baru Islam 1 Muharram atau Tahun Baru Hijriyah dengan muhasabah dan hijrah kepada yang lebih baik, lebih Islami. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawabi.*
