JAWAB: Wa’alaikum salam wr. Wb. Kalau 15 hari tidak puasa, maka fidyahnya memberi makan orang miskin sebanyak 15 kali atau 15 porsi makanan.

Dianggap sah membayar fidyah jika telah memberi makan kepada satu orang miskin untuk satu hari yang ditinggalkan. Tidak sah bila membayar fidyah dengan uang.

Jadi, inti fidyah adalah mengganti satu hari puasa yang ditinggalkan dengan memberi makan satu orang miskin. Model pembayarannya ada dua cara:

(1) Membuatkan atau menyediakan makanan, lalu mengundang orang miskin sejumlah hari-hari yang ditinggalkan selama bulan Ramadhan.

(2) memberikan kepada orang miskin berupa makanan yang belum dimasak, seperti sembako misalnya, sebanyak untuk makan selama sekian hari yang ditinggalkan.

Pemberian fidyah dapat dilakukan sekaligus, misalnya membayar fidyah untuk 15 hari disalurkan kepada 15 orang miskin, atau dapat pula diberikan hanya kepada satu orang miskin selama atau sebanyak makanan yang cukup untuk 15 hari.
