Assalamu’laikum.wr.wb. Apa benar kalau kita sudah melaksanakn shalat witir, tidak bisa melaksanakan shalat lagi,  misalnya shalat hajat, kecuali tidur dulu? Mohon penjelasannya!

JAWAB: Wa’alaikum salam  Wr. Wb. Dalam hal yang Anda tanyakan, ada dua pendapat di kalangan ulama.

Pertama, meski sudah shalat witir, kita masih dibolehkan shalat sunah lainnya, baik tidur dulu maupun tidak. Rasulullah Saw pernah melakukannya, sebagaimana hadits riwayat Tirmidzi dari Ummu Salamah: “Nabi Saw melakukan shalat dua rakaat setelah witir.” Imam Tirmidzi mengatakan, hadits ini juga diriwayatkan dari Abu Umamah, Aisyah, dan sahabat lainnya dari Rasulullah saw.

Lembaga Fatwa Arab Saudi, Lajnah Daimah No. 11271, mengatakan: “Barangsiapa yang tidur dalam keadaan telah melaksanakan witir, lalu ia bangun malam untuk tahajjud, maka shalatlah apa yang ditetapkan terhadapnya, namun tidak usah mengulangi witir, sebagai pelaksanaan terhadap larangan Nabi Saw tentang tidak ada dua witir dalam satu malam.”

Kedua, boleh asalkan genapkan dulu shalat witir yang sudah dilakukan dengan shalat satu rakaat. Ini pendapat para ulama Syafi’i, berdasarkan hadits bahwa witir adalah shalat penutup: ”Jadikanlah witir sebagai penutup shalat malam hari kalian.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim).

Namun, pendapat kedua ini dinilai lemah karena shalat sunnah satu raka’at untuk menggenapkan shalat witir tidak dikenal dalam syari’at. Wallahu a’lam.*
